Being Black in Canada is BACK! 🎬 The Fabienne Colas Foundation is now accepting applications for its trailblazing Bilingual Incubator Program that mentors, funds, and promotes emerging Black filmmakers in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. From hands-on training to festival screenings, this program will help you bring your authentic stories to the screen.

L’incubateur Être Noir.e au Canada, créé par la Fondation Fabienne Colas, aide les jeunes cinéastes noirs de 6 villes canadiennes à réaliser leur premier court-métrage documentaire. Certains films ont remporté des Prix Écrans canadiens 🏆, été diffusés sur CBC, TFO, Télé-Québec, et un réalisateur de Montréal a reçu un Gémeau Relève ! 🙌
Nous célébrons aujourd’hui la nouvelle cohorte et remercions Netflix & la Banque Nationale pour leur soutien. Ensemble, nous réécrivons l’histoire du cinéma. 🌍✊

Vous aspirez à devenir producteur(-trice)s ou directeur(-trice)s de production et êtes issu(e)s des communautés noir(e)s ? Vous pourriez obtenir la chance d’effectuer un stage rémunéré à temps plein de 16 semaines dans une maison de production membre de l’AQPM œuvrant en cinéma ou en télévision.

Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the release of Do the Right Thing and celebrating his 45-year career, the Montreal International Black Film Festival will present an intimate conversation with Spike Lee at its Opening Gala on September 25, 2024, at 7:30 pm, at l'Olympia.
