All twined textiles are made from 100% reclaimed fabrics.

The fabrics are laundered and torn into strips for the warp and the weft. The edges are left frayed for a timeworn look. The occasional ‘tuft’ of fabric is inherent to the technique I use to join the strips of fabric and when weaving in the ends on the back of your textile. The ‘tufts’ or frayed edges will not effect the integrity of your textile. All twined textiles are machine washable on gentle

cycle with cold water. Do not put your textiles in the dryer! Different fabrics react differently to heat. The dryer or hot water might continue to shrink certain fabrics, leaving you with a very distorted twined textile. Instead lay them flat to air dry. Larger items can be hung on the line. Nonslip liners are recommended for under twined rugs. Price List for Twined Textiles (updated 5-30-2022)

Due to our dry climate, I preserve all Pine Needle Baskets with beeswax. I recommend that your basket isn’t placed near a heat source or direct sunlight, as beeswax has a low melting point and may damage your basket and/or your display surface. All baskets Pine Needle, Baskets From Mother Earth, Raffia and Fabric should not be used directly with food. If you wish to use your basket at the table, I suggest lining it with a napkin to protect it from soiling. A light dusting with the soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner, is all your basket needs to look it’s best.

Woven Whispers
a new series…

Seeds of Hope Collection

These vessels are built slowly—layer upon layer of hidden fabric and words. Stitched softly, held closely and woven with intention.

Each one holds the quiet stories we carry, the ones not always spoken but deeply felt. Threads of memory, whispers of love and fragments of hope—woven together into something that holds.

These works are deeply personal. My influence comes from my own life—the moments that shaped me, tested me, healed me and made me who I am.

There is something really special about the quiet persistence in this work. Something like how we grow and become stronger and better, even when it’s hard.

For a long time I’ve been searching for ways to bring fabric and natural materials together—to weave them into something that feels grounded, honest and full of heart. I’ll keep exploring, learning and let each piece lead the way…💛

Another beautiful day spent at , teaching the ancient technique of looping. Thank you to everyone that joined me Saturday. I enjoyed meeting you all and I hope you continue to explore looping. Loop more rocks, try a stick or even your to go mug. Remember your tension and have fun! A huge thank you to Fern as well for giving me the opportunity to share a bit of my knowledge. I had such a beautiful day yesterday, teaching pine needle basketry! A HUGE thank you to the City of Lacombe and the Lacombe Memorial Centre for organizing and hosting the Encore Art Show and Sale. It was a honour to be included in your event and to be part of . Thank you!

I also wish to extend my gratitude to the lovely group of ladies that attended my workshop. Thank you for spending time with me and learning a bit about pine needle basketry. Your baskets are all so beautiful and I hope you continue to make many more. May your stitches be tight and your gauges always full. Thank you all ever so much. 💕

Do you remember the wasp nest I shared with you a couple of weeks ago? I gave you a hint of my inspiration — celebration. Do you recall?

‘Together We Celebrate’ is inspired by the Kushihara Hebo Matsuri in central Japan. A festival, where harvesting wasp nests for their larvae has become a shared tradition rooted in family and community. For me this work reflects those same ideas — how gathering, making and passing knowledge along can bring people together. It’s about connection, care and the small rituals that help hold family and community in place.

The vessel takes is shape from a donburi bowl. Simple, familiar and tied to everyday moments of gathering and nourishment. It’s wrapped in wasp nest paper, a material that feels both delicate and strong, created by the collective work of many. I’ve added a simple strand of cordage made from poplar bast as a reminder of the land and the fibres used that the wasps make their home with.

I’m very grateful for this precious gift, my friend gave me. It was a joy to work with and gave me the time to reflect and remember what is really important to me — family, community and passing lessons along. ❤️

Join me Saturday May 2nd at Fern's School of Craft for this six hour workshop and explore the quiet rhythm of looping—an ancient hand-stitching technique that permits you to build form slowly and intentionally, loop by loop. Looping (also known as knotless netting) is beautiful and meditative with endless possibilities, making it a powerful addition to your fibre art skill set.
