Canada π¨π¦
What little respect I have for our government is slowly dwindling. As we cower to a bully who's seriously only concerned right now is whether Canadians are buying and drinking bourbon on mass?!?
Our biggest concerns in this country should be training and retaining doctors, nurses, paramedics, and mental health support workers. Food, infrastructure, housing, and please fix the potholes in our roads.
We should not be worrying over the consumption of toxic chemicals. Don't get me wrong I like those toxic chemicals as much as everyone else. But why is this the sticking point? What is it about bourbon that is driving a trade war? And why has no one realized it's a distraction from the real trade problems.
Trump is tariffing us this time because of a natural disaster. Because forest fire smoke entered the city of New York from Northern Ontario.
Seriously!
Did he send help to Northern ontario? No!
Let that sink in....
The price of wood, steal, and many other things coming from the US have tripled in the past 2 years.
The only recourse when two giants play, is to stay out of the way. So remember you vote with your dollars every single time you shop.
So if our government wants to lay down and allow the Americans to once again sell their bourbon in our stores, follow the advice of the Manitoba premier and just leave it there. Walk away. And support one of the many many hard-working Canadian brewers.
