Well folks, it is with deep regret and sadness that I must announce that the St. Louis Open Mic is no more!
This past Wednesday, April 22nd was officially our last show at this venue!@
Unfortunately, the owner did not live up to his promises for compensation, and in the end, this was not satisfactory!
We are already looking for other venues that will appreciate our efforts to provide excellent entertainment, and of course additional revenue, on nights when typically, they are not very busy!
I'd really like to thank Jeff Hoffman and Dmitri Granovski for their effort and dedication to partner with me and frankly, do a lot of the heavy lifting!
I'd also like to thank all those performers who graced our humble stage, and also all those who valued the evening as a great night to grab a meal and a drink and be entertained with live music!
Lastly, thank you to the girls who served our room so well, particularly Diana and Farren, and a number of others in the rotation occasionally on Wednesday evenings!
it would be awesome to thank the restaurant's owners for the opportunity, but frankly, promises for compensation were broken, our efforts were under appreciated, and while we had our strong weeks and our not so strong weeks as far as attendance and sales went, we added thousands of dollar to their coffers, with no gratitude whatsoever!
Again, thanks to everyone! We're sorry this wonderful show has come to an abrupt end after 6 months, but stay tuned - we'll find another venue that's better than this one, and let you know!!
