Divider with children made for a family council office. I collected cartoons with children and put them on the glass spaced by a tree I found in an art book on English design.

I call these units Moodlights. They come with the small piece of thick etched glass set in a hardwood base with LED lights built in. The light that is reflected in the design and in the edge of the glass can be adjusted remotely in colour and intensity to suit your mood. They are small and make a perfect desk light - or night light. They will make wonderful, special, personal gifts.

I first did these poppy flowers on a French door from a poster my then customers brought me. This picture is from a window I did for the Nanaimo Hospice Society. I think these flowers are too large and complicated to be real poppies, but I like them.

These pieces of glass were made for a bathroom window. I don't know if they were ever installed. A rather different kind of design for a bathroom window. Interesting and a bit challenging to work on.

A handrail in a private home where they just wanted something simple. Just to make the glass visible. We had a little frog on one of the lily pads.

This design is from the back of a bishop in a Celtic chess set, so it started out as a small design. I am sure it must have bee enlarged into the fairly small version I found in a book on old English art. I then enlarged it to about eight inches across so I would be able to keep the details when I sandblasted it. I love the Celtic animal heads.

Working on the glass for this Thai restaurant was like taking a virtual journey. I used pictures I got from the owners and pictures from travel guide books and had a wonderful time exploring.

I saw a photograph of a misty coastal scenery and wondered if I could reproduce it on glass. Here is the result. It is not exactly misty, but I think it came out OK. Wit the LED lights in the base it can change to many different colours.

Would this not make a wonderful gift?

This divider was made to hide the toilet from view and to add a personal touch the the bathroom. I made the sailboat from a picture of the owner's own boat and put the bluff in the foreground to create the desired privacy.

This railing sits in Oliver Wood Community Hall in Nanaimo. The theme for these handrails is trees. I have added little critters in and among the trees, such as this squirrel and various birds. When I make them I make little stories in my head and imagine that these critters will be discovered by kids visiting the hall.
