Detail work and sharpening left on this beauty!

Not perfect but I’m finally starting to like the work I’m producing. As a aspiring blacksmith/bladesmith 2 of my biggest challenges I face are time 🕰️ and fairly primitive tools, I’ve spent countless hours pounding on steel making Damascus just to find delaminations and have to start all over again but one day through blood sweat (a lot of sweat 😅) and tears I will have my power hammer my 2x72 belt grinder and my shop press amongst many other upgrades and I will have all the time in a day to work away on amazing pieces that stand the test of time because you amazing and beautiful people will have helped me make it so!

Did a lil test etch on the blade I’m making last night! The transformation is always so magical to me. Hopefully have it finished by next week

The ol trusty sanding block lol I use this square piece of wood to hand sand my knifes I’m working on to the desired finish. This ones spoken for long as I don’t mess it up! 50 layer Damascus soon to be fitted with ebony scales and a brass bolster for looks and balance

Got this blade out to a great customer! Not only did he have incredible patience and understanding but he even gave me a Cpl coils of homemade sausage!!

Meet Lou! Lou is my shop hand she is always up for a early morning work day and never says no to a challenge! In fact she will challenge you on almost everything lol Lou also works for snacks and iced tea so that’s nice! Let’s just say she is a very important part to the shop! Here you can find Lou crafting me a file holder for my files since she thought my old fruit punch bucket was slacking lol. I love Lou 🥰
