Since I was a child I have always been interested in astronomy. I painted this painting in oils before I was a Christian. It’s a view of winter constellations featuring the hunter. I lived in Alberta during senior high and used to gaze at this constellation on cold winter nights with my 3” refractor telescope. The telescope would get so cold your hand would freeze to the metal tube when you went back inside. This Christmas I still pray that Ukrainians will have peace and a return of their land, and power stations, and for the Russians to be friends with the Western World.

Picture I painted for my grandson for his upcoming birthday this month, Jupiter as viewed from Ganymede, its largest moon, featuring the constellation Sagittarius in the background, with the Milky Way, and two moons closer to Jupiter, Europa and Io.
