October is here! And just as I have done before, the past 4 years, I like to participate in different art challenges (even if just partially).
This year’s first prompt for is Pumpkin/Calabaza and I went with a green one this time.

I am recuperating from getting the second time and it was the first day in over a week I was able to get any artwork done. 100% coloured pencils on one of my sketchbooks.

It has been 10 May The 4th be with you
10 years ago today I went on a first date with this wonderful man.
We laughed and talked a lot. A shared embarrassing things I’d done in the past, that I was back in school and that I loved watching movies and shows through the lens of cultural studies. We talked so much about movies and shows and we still do.

We were a match made my Star Wars destiny😂 even though I am not the biggest fan.

Never looked back. Never been happier.

Happy 10th anniversary Brian.

Engulfed in colour
All those colours moving around and surrounding the starfish are meant to represent plastics and micro plastics in our waters.
Micro plastics are all over the planet’s water sources, in marine life and in humans.
Recycling is not enough.Reducing our use of plastics is helping but it’s hard to no use them as they are ever present.
Every little action helps but working together to create a larger impact is key.

I created this piece to participate in the challenge began for this year’s Earth day. We wanted to create art piece that make the public think 🤔 harder of how our everyday lives are changing and affecting our planet.

As we grown older we learn more about the world and become more aware of certain truths. We become fearful. We turn insecure.

Lets remember those days of pure fun and joy. When we thought everything was possible, because it all is still possible.

Just a regular day in the studio
Woke up early today because I was so excited to start creating and filming.
Getting some work done today for my new on succulents with coloured pencils. I will take you on a step by step journey using a set of 12 colours to create stunning and bright succulents.
We will explore colour, gradients and shapes.
