“I combine needle felting, embroidery, beading, crochet, and other techniques to build and sculpt my pieces, often influenced by available materials. I enjoy using found, rescued, and donated materials in non-traditional ways, and especially the challenge of working within the constraints of limited supply, to create unique pieces. My process is intuitive, often just starting with simple lines or organic shapes, inspired by a memory, a landscape, and sometimes poetry, a quote, or song lyrics.I often build on a needle felted wool base, then add sculptural elements,stitch, beading, and applique, allowing the materials to play off each other and inform my next move.” Amazing textile art is now available at Our gallery.
