Registration and auditions for our 2026–27 season are Sunday, September 13th in Sherwood Park. They’re relaxed, friendly and only about five minutes long. No previous choir experience is needed.

We are SO thrilled to welcome Britney Huynh and Kim Denis as the new Junior and Senior Choir Directors for Lyrico this season.

Both bring extensive experience as conductors, music educators and performers, along with a genuine passion for helping young singers grow in confidence, musicianship and their love of singing.

If your child loves to sing and would like to join us, we are holding our Registration & Audition Day on September 13th from 1:00-2:30pm at the Sherwood Park United Church (no affiliation).

Auditions are relaxed and welcoming, with no preparation or previous choir experience required. Singers simply complete some basic pitch matching and sing a familiar song.

Message us to book your spot and come join the Lyrico family this season!

There are some people whose impact on Lyrico is difficult to sum up in just a few words, and Christine is certainly one of them.

Over the past season, Christine served as President of our Board of Directors, giving her time, leadership and care to help guide Lyrico behind the scenes. But her commitment didn’t stop at the Board table. Week after week, she also volunteered during Senior Choir rehearsals, giving even more of her time to support our choristers and Directors.

Christine was also instrumental in bringing about our wonderful partnership with the Bev Facey Culinary Arts Program. Thanks to her efforts, their talented students supplied the incredible desserts for our Imagine Concert in March, creating a community partnership we were so pleased to be part of.

Christine has chosen to continue supporting Lyrico in another incredibly generous way. Through her company, Field Law, she has chosen to become a Gold Sponsor for our 2026–27 season.

Thank you for your leadership, the countless hours you've given, the connections you've helped us build, and for simply being someone we could count on to show up and help.

Organizations like Lyrico exist because people decide they are worth investing in, not only financially, but with their time, energy and care. We are incredibly grateful that you have given us all three.

From all of us at Lyrico, thank you, Christine, and thank you to Field Law for helping us begin another season of music together.

It doesn't look like much on my little desk, but this stack of papers represents a whole lot:

1500 handouts
60 Letters of Introduction + Envelopes
20 Large Posters
20 Small Posters
57 Schools
6 Board Members

1 Fantastic Organization: Volunteer Strathcona

A huge thank you needs to be sent out to Volunteer Strathcona for printing all 1,500 of our handouts for us. For a small non-profit like Lyrico, support like this makes a very real difference and helps us get the word about our choirs into the hands of families across our community.

And those six Board members? They're parents who volunteer their time, energy and talents because they believe Lyrico is worth supporting. From organizing and fundraising to making sure stacks like this actually make their way out into the community, so much happens behind the scenes because of them. Thank you!

Now we just have to get all of this out the door and into 57 schools. Here's to another season of giving young singers a place to learn, grow, make friends and discover just how much fun it is to sing together.

Choir is about so much more than learning the notes. It’s about finding your people, building confidence and getting to make music together.

We’re welcoming new singers to Lyrico Youth Choirs this fall!

Our Registration Day is September 13th, and we have spaces available for students in:

Junior Choir: Grades 2–5
Senior Choir: Grades 6–12

Although we do hold auditions, they are quick and simple. We just want to be sure interested choristers can learn to match pitch. Advance booking is required, so email [email protected] to reserve a spot.

We’d love to meet your young singer!

If you think about it, a choir is a pretty remarkable thing. Dozens of individual voices come together to create something none of them could make alone. And this past season, our Lyrico singers gave us plenty of opportunities to experience exactly that.

We shared some fantastic concerts, including our Imagine Concert, where we were thrilled to welcome E-Town Extended to the stage. Our Junior Choir joined A King’s Family Christmas, and both the music and holiday spirit continued as Lyrico took part in Strathcona County’s Celebration of Lights.

This season also brought change. We are sad to say goodbye to Ms. Wiart and Ms. McKeown, and we are incredibly grateful for the music, time, energy and care they shared with our singers.

To our directors, accompanists, volunteers, families, supporters and, most importantly, our choristers, thank you for making this season possible.

One season ends. Another is about to begin. And we cannot wait to hear what happens when all those voices come together again.

Here’s to another year of making music with Lyrico!

Something new is coming to Lyrico!

We’re excited to be exploring the launch of Friends of Lyrico, an adult community choir for anyone who loves to sing. Whether you’re a Lyrico parent or alum, sang in a choir years ago, or simply miss having music in your life, we’d love to hear from you.

Friends of Lyrico plans to rehearse every second Wednesday from 6–7 PM in Sherwood Park, September through May, with no rehearsals in December.

And there’s an extra reason to sing with us: a significant portion of membership fees will go directly toward supporting the young musicians in our Junior and Senior Choirs.

We need at least 15 singers to get started, so if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, now is the time to put your name on the list!

Interested in joining?
Email [email protected] and let us know.

Come sing, connect with your community, and help support the next generation of Lyrico singers.

There’s a place for every singer at Lyrico!

Registration is open for our 2026–27 season, with choirs for children, youth and now adults in Sherwood Park and greater Edmonton area!

Our Junior Choir welcomes singers in Grades 2–5, while our Senior Choir gives youth in Grades 6–12 the chance to grow as singers, build friendships and be part of some incredible musical experiences throughout the year.

And something new this season: we’re hoping to launch FRIENDS OF LYRICO, an adult community choir for parents, alumni and anyone who simply loves to sing. It will meet every other Wednesday night, with a portion of registration fees directly supporting our youth choirs.

Whether you’re returning to Lyrico, discovering us for the first time or haven’t sung in a choir for years, we’d love to have you join us.
