This week we started painting our mural for the Township of North Frontenac . It's being done in acrylics on 4' by 8' marine grade plywood. I started with 2 costs of primer to prep the wood for painting. The mural will be unveiled at a special event in October. Here's a sneak peek 👀.

We are thrilled to introduce two of the talented artists featured in 2026 WCAS Expressions of Art show, happening Oct 3 and 4th at the Carp Fair Grounds Agricultural Hall, 3790 Carp Road, Carp Ontario.

Brian Bailey is an amazing pastel artist who creates beautiful portraits of highly detailed subjects such as pets, wildlife, landscapes, and people. He has been doing artwork since 2016 using pastels of all sorts (pencils, sticks, pan pastels, and soft pastels). He is a member of West Carleton Artists Association, Arts Carleton Place, Rideau Lakes Artists Association, and the North Frontenac Back Roads Studio Tour. Leane Bailey uses coloured pencils and pastels to create highly detailed drawings of pets, wildlife, and landscape scenes. Some of her favourite subjects are birds and wildlife in Eastern Ontario where she lives. Born in 1987 in Northern Quebec, Jeanne Beaudry is an artist whose work bridges art and spirituality. Sensitive and deeply curious from a young age, she began composing intuitive piano melodies at five and discovered oil painting at thirteen through her grandmother. Now based in Gatineau, QC, she creates from her serene studio, where she also teaches yoga and leads creative workshops.

Today we matted and framed a special memorial tribute for two of our cats Angel and Pongo who died in 2023 and 2024. We added a coloured pencil drawing I did, with two sympathy cards from the , and paw prints of the cats. We also have a special pet cemetery here too with 2 cat statues from
