Making Tchaikovsky look convincing is harder than an arena fight! 🎻

Pedro Pascal is set to star in 'Behemoth!', the brand new movie from Oscar-nominated director Tony Gilroy. In preparation for the film, Pascal learned to play the cello, and said: "holding the bow correctly alone takes a day's lesson", in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Introducing the Fredericton Youth Orchestra Conductor: Mark Kleyn

Mark Kleyn is a violist, conductor, and educator who enjoys a varied musical career. Born in Michigan, he received his BFA in Music Performance from Western Michigan University and his master’s in music performance and musicology from The University of Ottawa, with a thesis focused on sport-based models of leadership and their application to chamber groups. He has served as a Teaching Artist in the Sistema NB Fredericton Centre since 2020.

Mark is the violist for Fredericton’s Elm City String Quartet, and performs regularly with Symphony New Brunswick and Tutta Musica Orchestra. Mark is also part of Pallmer, a chamber-pop trio (viola, cello/vocals, & synthesisers) On the podium, Mark has served as Artistic Director of Western Michigan University’s Campus Strings Orchestra, The uOttawa Pops Orchestra, and the Mount Allison University Chamber Orchestra.
