Earlier in July, we welcomed a visit from Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary at our home at the MRU Conservatory. We very much enjoyed meeting Masataka Kobayashi Masataka Kobayashi who was visiting Canada for the first time! Thank you so much for carving some time to stop by after experiencing the Calgary stampede. I had a lot of fun playing with you, and very much enjoyed your energy!

We sincerely hope to see you back for another visit, performance, or collaboration , one day soon!

Highlight reel from today!

Mother Nature gave us a whole bunch of snow yesterday, which foiled our original performance planned for Saturday. Thankfully, the great crew at Otafest were able to reschedule!

We’ve been pretty quiet on socials lately, but the fun never stops! We’re about halfway through the school workshop busy season, and the TransAlta Pavilion has been home to many first-timer taiko players. Last week we tried breaking into small groups and having the students work on their own choreography , to make their own unique own version of Renshu. Fun!
