Last week i was gifted a bag of old broken jewelry pieces and precious little treasures of the past … this is what I’ve created for her as a token of my appreciation but also because Im pretty certain some of these pieces held sentimental significance for her and wanted to give her a meaningful gift as she is retiring from providing excellent postal service to her community at the end of this month. Hope she will like it as she embarks on a new journey.

I love history. I love creating artworks that alow me to preserve vintage or antique collectible buttons or vintage artifacts while giving it a new life so we can continue to enjoy them. I love doilies and this one is embellished with China buttons ( fine bone China) from Birmingham England along with detailed small shell buttons on the outside and center.

ost grateful to Evelyn who works at MCC and called me to ask if I wanted these buttons! I had so much fun sorting the many buttons. Remember to keep your plastic buttons stored in glass jar as buttons do get sick and will disintegrate if stored in plastic sealed container. I even found some to add to my antique and vintage button collections!

This enchanting collection of Art Nouveau buttons and brooches reveals how even the smallest objects became expressions of artistic imagination during the Belle Époque. Created between 1895 and 1910, these miniature masterpieces celebrate nature through dragonflies, irises, poppies, fish, serpents, and flowing botanical forms. Idealized female figures emerge among whiplash curves, embodying the movement's fascination with beauty and symbolism. Crafted from precious metals, enamel, gemstones, and carved materials, each piece transforms everyday adornment into wearable art.

✨ Sacred Feather Workshop ✨
What a beautiful and powerful experience of creativity, connection, healing, and self-care. 💛
During our Sacred Feather Workshop, participants were invited to slow down, reflect, create, and reconnect with themselves through intuitive art and mindful expression. Each feather became a unique symbol of personal healing, hope, strength, and inner light.
These workshops are more than art sessions — they are nurturing wellness experiences designed to encourage self-compassion, emotional release, creativity, and meaningful connection with others.
Thank you to everyone who shared their energy and beautiful creations. Watching each sacred feather come to life was truly inspiring. 🪶✨
Remember:
Take time for yourself.
Lead with love.
Honour your healing.
And never underestimate the power of creativity for the soul.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this uplifting experience, I invite you to join a future workshop through BoutonArt.com 💫
