🇨🇴 A hat, a poncho, and so much pride in our roots!

During our Culture Days Saskatchewan celebration, this corner invited visitors to put on a hat and poncho to honour the traditional mule drivers of Antioquia our arrieros and experience a little piece of Colombia. ❤️

Through smiles and photographs, we shared a tradition that connects us to our homeland and welcomed people from different cultures. What a joy to see everyone enjoying themselves and being part of this experience!

Thank you to everyone who joined in with enthusiasm and warmth. Each photograph captures what we strive for at Raíces Colombianas Cultural Arts: sharing our roots and building connections within our community.

Our roots travel with us and flourish when we share them! 💛💙❤️

🇨🇴 Discovering Colombia Through Our Sayings and expressions.

During our October 3 event, “Experience the Heart of Colombia with Raíces Colombianas Cultural Arts ”, we shared some of the popular sayings that are part of our culture.

Do you know what a “dicho” is?

A dicho is a popular saying. In Colombia, we often express our thoughts through phrases we learned from our parents and grandparents. Our sayings carry humor, wisdom, and memories.

🥣 “If you don’t want broth, you’ll get two cups.”
Have you ever tried to avoid something, only to end up getting a double dose of it?

What saying did you always hear at home? Tell us and share what it means! 💛💙❤️
