A Night to Be Grateful and Remember

We are truly grateful for the recognition Raíces Colombianas received as a cultural group during the volunteer appreciation celebration hosted by Hispanos en Regina. It was a meaningful moment for us and a beautiful reminder of the importance of preserving and sharing our culture while contributing to our community.

It was also very special to see Paula Andrea and Carlos Mario Rendòn M
recognized for the time, dedication, and talent they contributed as volunteers during Mosaic, particularly through their support with decoration.

We were equally happy to see Norma Clemencia Lopez Soto, Valeria Duarte and Ingrid Cristina Paez
recognized. As newcomers to Regina, it is wonderful to see how, in such a short time, they have already become involved, volunteered, and participated in activities in the community they now call home.

For me personally, receiving the Long-Serving Volunteer Award was especially meaningful. Having been part of the beginnings of the
Hispanos en Regina - Community Services Incorporated association as a co-founder, I have always felt a very special connection to Hispanos en Regina and to the community it represents. Seeing how the organization has continued to grow over the years, thanks to the commitment, ideas, and dedication of so many people, makes this recognition even more meaningful. It brought back many beautiful memories and, above all, a deep sense of gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey.

Thank you, Hispanos en Regina, for these recognitions and for continuing to create opportunities that bring people together, celebrate our cultures, and strengthen our community, in addition a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who generously contributes their time and talents. 💙

We continue building community, sharing our roots, and leaving meaningful footprints through culture.

What a wonderful day sharing a little piece of Colombia at Regina Dragon Boat Festival! ❤️💛💙

Through music, dance and Colombian folklore, Raíces Colombianas had the opportunity to celebrate our culture while connecting with people from our community.

One of our favourite moments was seeing people join us to dance! 💃🕺 That is what cultural events are all about: sharing, participating, connecting and celebrating together.

🇨🇴❤️ Thank you, Michael Kram, for standing with Colombia during this difficult time.

Your support for our fundraising event means so much to us and to everyone who came together in solidarity with the families affected by the earthquake in Colombia.

Thank you to you, and to every single person who helped make this event possible those who donated, volunteered, purchased, shared our message, and gave their time and hearts to this cause.

Moments like this remind us that when a community comes together with compassion, distance disappears and hope becomes stronger.

Earlier this month a major earthquake struck Colombia, killing hundreds and injuring thousands. Today members of Regina's Colombian community are having an empanada sale to raise money for the Cruz Roja Colombiana (Colombian Red Cross). They are open until 7:00pm at Un Sueño Soccer & Fitness Academy at 1731 Ross Avenue East.

Thank you so much to Raíces Colombianas for organizing today's event. The empanadas were delicious!
