Ekstatika Stage & Screen Creating out-of-body experiences for isolated times

Based on Treaty 4 lands in Regina, Saskatchewan, Ekstatika Stage/Screen is devoted to building community and compassion through live
performances and media productions that take our audiences out of themselves and into the shared messiness and mysteries of being human.

Attention, performers!

A panel of Saskatchewan-based theatre producers is assembling to view the performing skills of anyone who wants to audition. If you're an emerging artist in particular, and interested in continuing to work in Saskatchewan, this is an opportunity you shouldn't miss.

Some of the companies in attendance...
Buttered Ghost, Channel Theatre, Ekstatika Stage & Screen, Gordon Tootoosis Nikaniwin Theatre, On Cue Performance Hub, Theatre Naught, La Troupe du Jour

Audition dates:
Saskatoon ~ April 17 @ Persephone Theatre (11am-6pm)
Regina ~ April 24 @ The Artesian (11am-6pm)

To submit, email [email protected] and include a headshot and resume in PDF format. Indicate in which city you would like
to be seen. Please prepare at least one audition piece that showcases you
well. Remaining time can be used to perform a contrasting piece, a song, or just to chat about theatre, whatever you'd like.

Please keep total length under 10 minutes.

Submission deadline: April 10 (early submissions preferred)

Feel free to reach out to [email protected] for more info.

"They liked us! They really liked us!"

THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts, to all who joined us on the epic dramatic adventure that was Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Huge thanks, as well, to our venue and partner The Artesian on 13th, and to the good people at SK Arts whose funding support made it all possible.

We loved creating this experience for you, and we hope to bring you more like it in the near future.

Big love,
Your friends at Ekstatika Stage & Screen

DYK? – Here’s a little trivia on the play: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf – it was first staged on Broadway in 1962 (so Happy 60th bd to your play, Mr. Albee). Then in 1966, the film became the first movie in Academy Awards and cinema history to be nominated for every Academy Award category. And this week, it’s live at the Artesian, in Regina....., so yea, SAME SAME. 😉Tix: https://artesianon13th.ca/
