Another Red Deer Folk Festival is in the books, and we seriously can’t thank everyone enough who came out, brought their families, supported the artists, checked out our vendors, sang along, hung out and helped make this weekend what it was.

This festival has always been about building something that belongs to our community, great live music, great people and a weekend that we can continue to grow year after year.

And speaking of keeping it growing…

After a lot of careful consideration, we've made the decision to move the 2026 Red Deer Folk Festival indoors to the Event Centre at Red Deer Resort & Casino.

While we were incredibly excited to host this year's festival at Westerner Park, the combination of looming weather uncertainty and the logistical challenges that come with producing an outdoor festival led us to make what we believe is the best decision for everyone involved.

Our goal has always been simple: create the best possible experience for our artists, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and most importantly, you. By moving indoors, we can focus on the music, community, and atmosphere without worrying about Mother Nature getting the final say.

The good news? Everything you love about the festival is still happening.

It's come to our attention that an email account:
[email protected] has been attempting to sign up vendors for this years event😡

We apologize for any confusion this has caused and we are very grateful to the people who have reached out asking if this was a legitimate contact.

Last year as we started small, we had used the gmail listed in the picture below. This year we do have a dedicated .com email and have maintained contact primarily through that. That said, our gmail is still active and we are monitoring it as some of last years participants are communicating through that channel as well.

Important to note:
our ONLY gmail account is: reddeerfolkFEST not reddeerfokFESTIVAL.

We are exactly one month away from the 2nd Annual Red Deer Folk Festival! The weekend has shaped into something incredible and we can't wait to see you in the EVENT CENTRE at Red Deer Resort and Casino, August 28th-30th.

What a line up! Huge thank you to all the performers and sponsors of this year's event so far 💜
