What happens when colour becomes energy?

For German artist Jürgen Wagner, painting is an instinctive encounter with movement, emotion, and the forces that surround us. Working across painting, graphics, illustration, and performance, Wagner has developed an expressive practice shaped by colour, gesture, and experimentation.

In his works, vivid colours, dynamic forms, and spontaneous lines come together to create a sense of movement that feels almost alive. One work channels the energy of the universe through cosmic forms and inner light, while another transforms raw emotion into an explosive dialogue between acrylic, spray, and ink.

There is no single way to enter these paintings. The longer you look, the more they reveal, shifting between chaos and freedom, intensity and intuition.

Sometimes, the first glance is only the beginning.

What can colour and light reveal that words cannot?

For Izmir-based artist and art teacher Ahmet Rüştü Doğan, painting begins with two essential elements: colour and light.

Having exhibited in more than 40 exhibitions worldwide, his practice explores how these elements can transform a moment into emotion.

In his “Young Girl” series, light and colour become a language of their own, conveying emotion through atmosphere, expression, and subtle shifts in tone.

What remains after a feeling passes?

For Sara Lardiello, everyday emotions leave traces, subtle, fleeting, sometimes difficult to name. Through acrylic on cotton canvas, she translates these inner experiences into color, rhythm, and form, creating paintings that feel like fragments of a visual diary.

Her practice moves between the intimate and the familiar, transforming ordinary sensations into something tangible and inviting us to pause, look closer, and recognize something of ourselves.

Based in Potenza, Italy, Lardiello continues to explore the quiet complexity of what we feel and what remains.

What happens when we stop looking at what is visible, and start wondering what lies beneath?

French-based artist David Whitfield explores the hidden psychology of human beings and the subtle interactions that shape how we see and understand one another.

For David, art is not about imposing a single meaning. It is an exploration, a way of making sense of the world while leaving space for the viewer’s own interpretation.

His journey has moved through Surrealism toward a more instinctive approach, embracing the freedom of watercolour and, more recently, acrylic. Colour, water, material, and chance become part of the creative process, allowing the work to develop beyond complete control.

Rather than telling us what to see, David invites us to question what we think we see.

And perhaps, that is where the real story begins.

What happens when we stop trying to control what we feel?

Belgian artist Sandra Herzet explores the spaces between concealment and revelation, control and surrender, visibility and disappearance.

Working primarily with abstract mixed media and painting, Sandra builds her works through layering, scraping, covering, and revealing. Charcoal, ink, bistre, acrylic, modelling paste, and other materials meet in a process guided less by a fixed plan and more by intuition and the resistance of the material itself.

Her artistic journey has been deeply shaped by a gradual release of perfectionism, learning to embrace imperfection, emotion, and the unexpected.

Her series Maskerade, Storm, and The Mask Unveiled delve into inner tension and hidden identities, leaving space for each viewer to find something different within the layers.

Rather than telling us what to see, Sandra invites us to pause, look closer, and feel.

And perhaps that is where her work truly begins.

For the Brazilian artist Cinthia Crelier, painting is deeply connected to the natural world. Living in the Mantiqueira Mountains, surrounded by its richness and exuberance, she transforms her relationship with nature into vibrant, poetic visual expressions.

A painter, art educator, and biodiversity conservationist, Cinthia has spent decades bringing art and environmental awareness together, both through her paintings and her cultural education projects.

Her work has been exhibited internationally across Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Italy, England, and the United States, and has received recognition through the Poseidon and Leonardo da Vinci International Prizes.

For Berlin-based artist Elvira Flamm, painting is a way of thinking and feeling through colour and form a deeply intuitive process shaped by nature, memory, experience, and the questions hidden beneath everyday life.

Born in Worms, Germany, Elvira spent 16 years living in Suriname, an experience that profoundly influenced her perception of nature, growth, decay, and what we consider “reality.” These impressions continue to find their way into her work, creating compositions that feel both familiar and quietly unexpected.

Working with watercolor, acrylic, and experimental materials, Elvira embraces both intention and chance. Some works begin with a clear idea, while others unfold naturally during the painting process, allowing something unexpected to emerge, almost like a reply in a dialogue.

Her work invites us to pause and reconsider the seemingly ordinary, revealing the emotional, spiritual, and mysterious layers that can exist beneath the surface.
