'Rockstar' was Dolly Parton's final album, which she released in 2023 after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The album featured collaborations with Steven Tyler, Nikki Sixx, Rob Halford, Paul McCartney and others.

"This was a joy to do and you're right, I didn't just do it to say, 'I did a rock album.' This is something I want to leave for my legacy," Parton told Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong of 'Rockstar.'

"I want to do and leave as much good stuff behind as I can — and rock and roll is not foreign to me. We all grew up loving Elvis and Carl Perkins and Little Richard and Chuck Berry and all those great people that were first influences in country music, actually."

After take the stage with Deep Purple for the first time since 1993 last week, Ritchie Blackmore told 'Guitar Player' about the historic night. While it was just for one song — "Smoke on the Water" — it all felt like more than plenty following decades of tension.

Blackmore also said, “It was tricky; I didn’t play anything too technical, as I felt I should stick to the rudiments of being simple. I still lost my place at one point, but it’s not why I was there. I was there to heal any wounds — but there weren’t any wounds. Everyone was like, we were in the army, all along the Western front and we were all getting together again. Very emotional moment.”
