What an afternoon!

The Afternoon Light: The LH Express at OLLA filled Our Lady of Light Atelier with an unforgettable blend of blues, soul, rock, and heart. So many great tunes… from The Thing You Do and Snapshot to the chart-topping Painting Stars, A Place in This World, the moving Over You / Free Falling, Love Thang, The Truth, Give Me Life, Blind Man’s Blues, and I Love You to name only a few, every song found its place in the afternoon light.

Our heartfelt thanks to Lucas Haneman, Megan Laurence, Martin Newman, and Val Nehovora of The LH Express for sharing your music with our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, bringing such warmth and attentive listening to the Atelier.

And to our volunteers—thank you for the care, time, and generosity that made the afternoon possible.

More 📸 to come!!!

Some artists have stories that deepen your appreciation of their music. Haneman is one of them.

A guitarist since the age of six, Lucas has built a career on an extraordinary ear, relentless curiosity, and a commitment to creating music on his own terms. From leading The LH Express to recording, producing, and composing with accessible technology, he has continually found new ways to push his craft forward. As he recently reflected in an interview with , he’d rather let the art speak for itself—and once you hear this band live, you’ll understand why.

On Sunday, July 26, The LH Express brings its acclaimed blend of blues, rock, funk, and soul to Our Lady of Light Atelier in Afternoon Light: The LH Express at OLLA. Expect soaring guitar work, powerhouse vocals, deep grooves, and an unforgettable performance.

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of exceptional Canadian musicianship in one of the region’s most unique spaces.
