Working on a test scheme for an upcoming Stormcast Spearhead project. Another artist - I don't recall the name and can't seem to find the post - had a lovely ivory-themed painted scheme that I thought might work.

After some trial and error, I decided on a bone pallet that is decidedly... meatier.

It's going to feel good having more than one proper tank fully painted on the battlefield. 😁

Bolt Action is back on the menu! I'm finally getting around to painting up a P-IV for my DAK BA and Auchtung force and I gotta say I don't particularly miss all the panel lining. 😅

Bold orange ochre armour in pseudo-comic style with basic punchy metal.

Competed P-III for comparison.

I can finally call the Gnawfeast Clawpack done. That brings the completed Spearhead count up to two - as well as my OW Battle March forces!

I've taken to creating modular bases for whatever models I can both to use them in multiple systems as well as to protect them from any future rebasing problems.

There's quite a bit more work to be done to fill out a proper Battle March, and Skaven lists are a bit wonky given all the 0-1 per 1000 units or unit dependencies, but I'm happy with the progress so far. Unfortunately, the Spearhead character models are ill suited for modular bases.

I'll be taking a break from rat-folk for awhile while I work on other projects but I'll be back!

I have several Skaven tutorials available through me profile for those of you who like the paint scheme.

If there's one thing I love more than old metal, it's weird metal terrain! Managed to snag a bunch of glorious palm trees in an auction.

They're not quite the right scale for my desert Bolt Action to table, but they'll still make for some great baby-trees-growing-in-the-city.

No markings on them so who knows where they're from.

No more awkward we**am setup!

I might not be able to get much painting done right now, but I'm still working on projects. The biggest one is figuring out how actual cameras work. 😅

My regular painting videos, including the on-going AoS Spearhead project, should be starting up again in December. Between now and then I'll be working on the stories, recording tutorial footage when I can, and trying to squeeze out a few process videos for those of you who might be interested in making your own painting videos.

The current project? My 40K launch/starter box display 😎 Shelves are made from simple brackets and paint stir sticks.

Time to get started on the second wall and track down a few missing boxes to complete the collection!

Buuuut... Does it close and latch smoothly? Does it have enough hangers for all my mats? Can I now bring the dog downstairs? Hang a 'No Girls Allowed!' sign up?
