Too hot to actually open but thought I’d snap a quick pic to see how things turned out. As I was worried about the kiln not working properly I did not fill it as full as I could have.

Looks like the overfired mug did not take the glaze like I had hoped. I will have to think about what I will do with the rest of the load. Might have to have a smashing party and get rid of them.

Unloading later tonight.

Thanks Giving weekend has been busy. Love sharing time and a meal with my family. Hope everyone had a wonderful thanks giving weekend.

Working on final pieces for the Oct 23 & 24 Artisan Market at Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment.

Saturday my kiln overfired a bisque load. Right now there is a glaze load happening. Not sure if any of the pieces can be salvaged. This load has one of oversized cups that hopefully the glaze turns out.

Checking the elements looking for hot spots but seeing a few cooler areas. Joys of working with ceramics. Once it goes in the kiln there is not much I can do.

The Artisan Market at prairiefusion is just around the corner. Friday, October 23 - 3pm to 8pm and Saturday, October 24 - 10am to 6pm. There will be lots of fabulous artists and unique vendors. Save the date and see you there. Free admission.

Time to get back in the studio and work on some new paintings. I am hoping to finish this painting and complete a few more.

I have lots of bisque ware to finish, and more ideas are coming soon.

The next exhibition will be in July next year, and I am working on applications for others.

October 23 and 24, I will be at the PFAE Artisan Market. November 7, you can find me at the MacGregor Holiday Market. Then, on November 19, I will be at the United Way Shopping Night.

What would you like to see more of?

When I look back at my paintings over the years I can see a variety of styles. Some were experiments the came about after taking a workshop and others were because of necessity.

I still like to look back and see how my paintings have changed and I know that they will continue to develop.

Painting scenes from my childhood inside teapots was a different challenge. Each canvas or surface leads to its own unique subtleties
