It’s been a few weeks for this page, we’ve been busy with other work and travelling, making memories but still squeezing in time for some art when we can.
Last two days we began work on a 22’ singers log that will have seal lions on the end, and hollowed under neath.
Always enjoy working with my love and watching her adapt to her own skills so fast and natural

Chiefs talking stick being carved from yellow cedar.
Two figures, the top coming from Sisa̱ntłe.
Sa̱ntłe came down in the form of a Thunderbird, wearing a sun mask and transformed into a human.
I had this vision to show the transition from sun/bird into a human so it has a little of the three beings merged into one.
The bottom of the stick will have a Gwa’yam (whale) from the Gigalgam of the Gwa’sala.
Their ancestor married the daughter of Sa̱ntłe, that is the reason behind these two figures for one of our chiefs getting ready to potlatch.

The Town of Comox is proud to announce that Karver Everson — Pentlatch, K’ómoks band member and Kwakwaka’wakw artist and carver — has been selected to design and carve a Totem Pole for the Glacier View Roundabout at the top of Comox Hill.

The totem pole Karver will design and carve, and support through installation, will take approximately eight months to complete. A community celebration and official unveiling are being planned for the fall of 2026.

Photo from 2020.
One of the proudest accomplishments I could say is that I had a huge part in building our sacred house.
From being a part of the planning, carving, coordinating along side the big house society and soon to be apart of painting the house front.
Good times
