The Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival (TUJF) is a non-profit organization creating showcasing, learning and networking opportunities for emerging artists. Emerging musicians also have the privilege to work and share the stage with some of the world's biggest jazz legends and Juno award-winning artists. We also provide volunteer opportunities for anyone supporting the community. With the Greater

Toronto Area being our place of origin, we hope to expand our dream to the rest of Canada and to the world as well. Join us in our journey to make young artists' ambitions come to life!

This year, we're celebrating some of the outstanding artists who will take the T.U. Jazz Fest stage and make this festival weekend unforgettable!

Saturday, September 5, 6:00PM: โœจ Julia D'Ascanio Quintet

Toronto vocalist Julia D'Ascanio has built her sound on a foundation of jazz while moving naturally through R&B, pop and musical theatre. A graduate of the University of Toronto's Jazz Vocal Performance program, Julia has shared the stage with artists including Terri Lyne Carrington and Micah Barnes. A recipient of the Duke Ellington Society Jazz Scholarship and Villa Charities Young Artist Grant, she represents an exciting new generation of Toronto jazz voices.

Sunday, September 6, 6:00PM: โœจ Noah Abrahamse & The Mumbo Jumbo Combo

Toronto saxophonist, composer and bandleader Noah Abrahamse brings together the language of jazz with the vibrant rhythms of Latin America. His Mumbo Jumbo Combo explores everything from traditional Cuban Son to Latin Jazz fusion, showcased on their debut album Dรญas Latinos. With influences and mentorship from artists such as Hilario Durรกn, Laura Fernรกndez and Joaquรญn Nรบรฑez Hidalgo, Noah has developed a sound that is deeply rooted in Latin jazz while carrying his own contemporary voice.
