Calling All Directors: The Door is Open!

Constellation Theatre Co. is now accepting Applications/Proposals from directors in and around North Bay who are interested in helping to shape our 2027 and 2028 seasons. 🎉⭐️

We have multiple opportunities available, from the adult musical theatre production that we hope to anchor as our core offering each spring to a few special projects that might be just the fit for emerging or aspiring directors to hone their skills. (Think Shakespeare in the Park, cabarets, and more!)

This is your opportunity to pitch your vision for a show that you think is a fit for any of these projects. We are all about collaboration and we can’t wait to hear from you! Applications and proposals are due October 12th.

2026 Festival FRINGEY X-TRA Programming✨️

Musical Theatre Workshop with Michelle Jackett

When? Saturday August 15th 10am - 1pm
Where? Betty Speers Theatre - Capitol Centre
Okay, how much? $10 to participate- sign up at Capitol Centre box office
Free Showcase for Public at 12:45pm
***This workshop is for ages 15+ only***

Actor, dancer, teacher, and choreographer, Michelle Jackett, will take participants through an engaging and interactive workshop focusing on the “storytelling” that is the foundation of all good music theatre through selected choreography and song from the musical “Cabaret” This workshop doesn’t require a background in dance or singing but is rather geared to an actor’s approach to music theatre.

The workshop will include:
- A choreography session taught by Michelle (no dance experience required) that will focus on the delivery of choreography to enhance the storytelling of the musical piece.
- A song delivery session. Participants will be taught a solo song and coached as a group how to make emotional shifts and get to the heart of the story through delivery of the piece.
- Concluding with participants having a chance to present the work to an audience of fellow festival members, public, friends and family. Maximum 15-minute presentation.

Constellation Theatre Co. was founded in 2025 with a mission to bring high-quality musical theatre featuring adult performers to North Bay - and to be a home for those performers to hone their craft. We dreamed this, set out to create it, and still find ourselves BLOWN AWAY that things came together so beautifully!

From our board who pulled together the foundations and created the conditions for success, to our creative team who brought the vision, knowledge, and experience to make our first production seamless, to our cast and crew who dove in with enthusiasm and dedication to their crafts, to our supporters and audience who SHOWED UP for this brand new company… We thank you. This show was magic and you were a part of that.
