Tiny Wonders Roadside Gallery came into being from a simple idea that grew to become a soul project. I -Wilderness Mouse- have been creating all of my life, and have had a sligyt obsession with miniatures. These two loves combined and my creations became tiny. I needed a space that would be willing to show my small pieces...Well here it is! Tiny Wonders is the place for any artist who is willing t

o work within certain constraints around size and theme. Please see rules and regulations and how to submit to participate in this free public art project! Themes will be posted on the 15th of the month, 2 months prior to exhibit. (example: theme for October comes out Aug 15th, submissions received by September 15th for October 1st exhibit.)

Todays feature: "The Ties That Bind" sculptural textile art by me, Camille Glodeck aka Wilderness Mouse.

This woven piece is set on an actual piece of root collected on the North shore of Lake Nipissing. Our roots are our foundation. The connections and relationships in our lives are represented by the woven fibres. Different colors, different stages. The "beginning" and "end" a mystery. The somewhat Celtic knot (recycled jewelry) is a personal touch, representing ancestors of way back when...

This month I feature the work of Wilderness Mouse, aka Camille Glodeck, aka CG, aka me!

Artists biography:

Camille Glodeck is a self trained, multi-medium artist. Her eclectic style is influenced by her love of the natural world. She loves to play and create with natural materials, wool, wood, as well as acrylic paints, watercolor, collage, needle work, carving, relief printing, and basketry. Come take a journey and experience her expression of the world around her.

One of my most favorite vegetables to grow! Root veggies are my favorite! Roasted with olive oil salt and pepper! Pure goodness! And I cannot get over the colors, inside and out! They had to be part of the ROOTED show!

Today's feature:

"Dandy" watercolor and sharpie by me, Camille Glodeck aka Wilderness Mouse.

These babies have some of the most delicious roots! I have made coffee, wine, cookies, bread, mustard and ice cream with these plants, buts the dandelion root ice cream is by far the best thing I have ever tasted!!! A must for the ROOTED show.

The final look at this past months show...Awakening.

A new month means a new show!!! May's show theme is Awakening.

Spring has been here a little over a month, but things are now just starting to wake from their deep winter slumber. Green growing things, flying insects, blooms, flyers and critters!
