Hometown Harmony is proud to present Mallory Johnson, with opener Francesca Panetta !

Don’t miss this special intimate acoustic evening with Newfoundland songstress, Mallory Johnson. Known for her captivating vocals and heartfelt storytelling, Mallory will be performing songs from her recent ECMA-nominated and MusicNL award-winning album over the party along with a few familiar fan favourites. Stripped back to just a voice and guitar, this promises to be a powerful, up-close night of music.

Mallory Johnson is a 4x ECMA winner, 4x CCMA nominee, and one of the most compelling voices in Canadian alt-country. This genre-bending artist, who has amassed over 1 million streams across her catalogue, demonstrates a captivating fusion of dark Americana with her Celtic/folk roots - a sound that takes centre stage on her newly released sophomore album over the party. Produced by Andrew Petroff (Sheryl Crow, Madeline Edwards, Meg McRee), the project showcases her evolution as a songwriter unafraid to confront emotional complexity and creative risk. With a #1 charting position on iTunes Singer/Songwriter albums, five 2026 ECMA nominations, and a recent win for 2025 MusicNL’s Country Artist of the Year, over the party continues to prove that Mallory isn’t just an artist to watch - she’s one to sit with and truly hear.

Opening the show is Barrie-based, artist Francesca Panetta. Known as the “singing hippie”, Francesca is an old soul who describes herself as a “Transcendentalist Wayfinder”. She defies genre with personal philosophies and folk-psychedelic sounds. With a heavy focus on songwriting, she is often stimulated by personal evolution and shares this in her music. Francesca’s moody tones and introspective lyrics, accompanied by her 4-octave bluesy vocal colour, cut to the soul and linger long after the last note.

On Saturday, August 24th, 2025, we launched our brand at the Town of Newmarket's Summerfest On Main, and it was an enormous success!

Murray Drive, Pat James And The Whole Truth, and The Elwins performed their original music to a captivated crowd, delivering an unforgettable show! These bands are genuinely so talented, and their music is phenomenal!✨✨✨

A massive thank you to the Town of Newmarket for providing us a platform to showcase these incredible original Canadian artists and to absoLive for their outstanding stage and sound production. It was a magical afternoon of music.
