Make sure to get out to vote for your local government elections - Advance Voting is today! Local governments influence all our lives, from the recreation and culture in our towns, to the support for community groups, to the essential services like water, roads, and sewers that we all rely on.
Take a look at the candidates and support the folks building the communities you want to live in 💕🌈
Tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7) is the first advance voting opportunity for the municipal election. Voting takes place at City Hall (310 Ward Street) from 8am to 8pm.
There are a few important things to remember:
▪️Bring two pieces of ID with your name and residential address – at least one needs to have your photo
▪️Curbside voting is available – designated parking spaces have been reserved in the parking lot behind City Hall, and the metered parking off of Ward Street. Call when you arrive, and an election official will come down to meet you.
▪️Not on the voters list? No problem! You can register to vote at the polling station
▪️Have questions? Just ask! Election Officials are on the floor at all times who are happy to help.
▪️If you make a mistake on your ballot, let an Election Official know, and they can explain what options are available.
Additional advance voting is on Wednesday, October 14 at City Hall from 8am-8pm. General voting is on Saturday, October 17 at the Prestige Lakeside Resort (701 Lakeside Dr) from 8am-8pm.
