Elect Jason Peil for Nelson City Council. Support a progressive candidate who will put the needs of Nelson's local people first, and put greater emphasis on solving some of our serious social issues from homelessness to encouraging the creative arts, to maintaining and restoring our heritage city. Jason will be a voice for progressive social values while encouraging development opportunities for t
he city. In order to have the resources to support serious commitments for the less fortunate we must generate the conditions that allow that to happen. Rational growth is a part of that solution. Bringing common sense and co-operation to the table, Jason intends to build bridges between the various communities within Nelson. As a proven community builder and consensus maker, through his involvement in Kootenay Pride, Jason has helped to build a festival that respects the whole community and includes the entire population of Nelson. Building upon the diverse opinions and characteristics of Nelson's talented people and the strength in that diversity has helped create a lasting growth in the festival. Nelson as a whole is better because of it's communities within. That momentum can extend to everyone. We need people in Council who build bridges and make things happen. Jason is a creative artistic energetic person, who's talents include: design, strong work ethic, development and design, performance art, and strong education in economics. He will put the people of Nelson first, and he will work wherever he can to make the City a more vibrant and supportive place. This city needs someone who asks the questions and gets answers about our needs. We need a person who places common sense ahead of politics, who doesn't chose sides, and who works toward solutions. We need somebody to lead with heart and also to make sure things add up. Jason is that person.
