Jenny Adams Artist
Jenny is a landscape artist. Growing up on the west coast of British Columbia nurtured her love of the forest and ocean. As a child she could be found building forts in giant tree stumps or exploring the forests around her. After being introduced to the paintings of Emily Carr as a young girl, her love affair with trees only grew deeper. While drawing and pottery continued to feed her creativity, it was after a move to the Sunshine Coast of BC where Jenny really started to explore painting. She attended many workshops given by local artists while defining herself as a painter. Described as one who sees the art in nature, it is here where her endless inspiration comes from. Loving the challenge of capturing the feeling of where she stands, she enjoys recreating that feeling on canvas. Now back on Vancouver Island, Jenny has begun to thrive and her paintings reflect that. Jenny’s work has been selected for art shows at the Coast Collective in Colwood and the Sooke Fine Arts Show. She continues to develop as an artist, always in search of her next painting whether it be while mountain biking, running or hiking a trail. Jenny currently resides in Sooke.
