Nanaimo, we need your helping hands to bring the 1st Annual Downtown Nanaimo Harvest Festival to life this Saturday!

Volunteer for a shift or stay for the whole event—whatever time you can give will help us create a welcoming, FREE afternoon for our community. Help with setup, activities, welcoming guests or cleanup. Bring a friend and make a day of it!

☕ Volunteers get the first cups of FREE hot chocolate! A sweet little thank-you for helping make it all happen.

THERE IS STILL TIME! HOW THE SCARECROW CONTEST WORKS
1. REGISTER BY EMAIL
Reserve your spot online - it's FREE!

2. BUILD IT
Create your scarecrow at home.

3. BRING IT
Bring your completed scarecrow to Maffeo Sutton Park on October 10th to be on display from 2:00-6:00pm.

4. DISPLAY IT (in a weighted 5 gallon bucket)
We'll create a Scarecrow Patch for festival visitors and our Community Judging Panel to explore.

5. WIN!

6. TAKE IT HOME
All scarecrows and display materials must be removed following the festival.

We want to say thank you to all our fans and supporters! This year was a huge success and we owe it all to you.
Our show at the Landlubber Pub won 2nd Place in this year's Best of the City competition!
Additionally, Island Karaoke was voted Best Local DJ and Best Wedding Entertainment in this year's Community Votes competition.

The Semi Finals are over! Thank you to everyone - you made it an incredible event. Join us this Sunday at the Landlubber Pub between 7pm and 10pm for the finals where our remaining 6 participants will be singing 3 songs they haven't performed in the previous round. First prize is $500 cash, 2nd prize is $250, and our 3rd prize is being generously provided by Country Club Dairy Queen
