I’m still taking this all in. ❤️

Yesterday I stood in front of my new space at Pacific Arts Market and looked around at something that, for so long, existed mostly as an idea in my head.

And then suddenly… there it was.

My art.
My little corner.
My colours.
My stories.
My name on the wall.

But what made it really special wasn’t just seeing the finished display.

It was seeing people stop.
People look closely.
People ask questions.
People pick things up and turn them over to read the stories.
People choose something to take home.

And then there were the people who came simply to support me — friends, family, fellow artists, and wonderful people I hadn’t even met before.

There are so many people who have been part of this journey, in big ways and small ones, and I am incredibly grateful for every single one of them.

I honestly don’t think I have words yet for what this means to me.

I’m just incredibly grateful. 🥹❤️

Helen Pearson DOT ART is officially part of Pacific Arts Market.

And I think this is only the beginning. ✨🎨

A little behind-the-scenes of today’s big day… 🎨❤️

Today I moved into my new space at Pacific Arts Market Gallery in downtown Nanaimo!

There was a LOT happening behind the scenes — grids going up, shelves being installed, artwork being hung, little details being moved around, and a whole lot of stepping back and saying, “Okay… how does that look?” 😂

Having Sabrina there made it even more special. ❤️

I had a vision for how I wanted my little space to feel, and watching it all come together was such an amazing experience.

And now…

I can’t wait to show you the finished space. 👀✨

That reveal is coming tomorrow.

✨ I’m getting everything ready for my move into Pacific Arts Market Gallery! 🎨❤️

As I finish up the last of the preparations, I wanted to invite my local friends to come check out this beautiful new creative space in downtown Nanaimo.

I’ll officially be there starting October 1st, and on October 2nd from 5:30–7:30pm, I’ll be there for Art After Hours: Patterns, Dots & Conversation with Helen Pearson.

Introducing “Playful.” 🌊☀️

“Playful” was inspired by island life and the simple joy of having fun—laughing, splashing, and enjoying the moment.

The bright sunset colours and flowing ocean reflect that carefree feeling of being surrounded by nature and letting yourself simply play.

Sometimes we just need to stop taking everything so seriously and play. 💙🧡
