🥰 This made my day.

There’s something extra special about seeing my art in its new home — especially when the resident art critic has given it her seal of approval. 🐾

A huge thank you to Rebecca for this beautiful five-star Etsy review, for choosing my art for the second time, and for sharing this adorable photo of Pearl with her new little piece.

“This is my second purchase and unlikely to be my last.” ❤️

And Pearl apparently approves of both purchases, so I think I’m doing something right. 😂

Thank you, Rebecca. Your kind words mean more than you know. ❤️

Even when I try to take a day off, I somehow end up finding something to do with the computer and printer! 😂

And today’s little project turned into Dot Art Colouring Cards! 🎨✨

I’ve created 10 different designs, each inspired by my original dot art, ready to colour with markers, pencils, crayons — or even paint!

$3 each or 2 for $5

A fun little creative treat for kids, adults, or anyone who loves to colour. 💕

More details coming soon!

I came outside this morning for a quiet cup of coffee and a few minutes to clear my head… ☕️🌿

Apparently, the wildlife had other plans. 😂

Something in the tree was making the MOST ridiculous squeaking noises. I honestly couldn’t tell if it was in distress or… well… mating. 😂

Turns out it was just a squirrel being extremely loud in a tree.

So much for my peaceful morning. 🤣🐿️

Sometimes nature has a way of reminding us to stop, listen, and laugh.

Back to my day… one thing at a time. 💛

✨ A little collector love… ✨

There’s something incredibly special about seeing my artwork become part of someone’s home.

Last month, a new collector welcomed one of my originals into their space. This month, they added a framed print as well — and I absolutely love seeing how beautifully the pieces work together.

From an original to a print, each piece carries a little piece of my creative journey, and knowing that someone connects with the work enough to bring more of it home means so much to me. 💙

Thank you for supporting my art, believing in my work, and giving these pieces a place to live. It’s moments like this that remind me why I keep putting dot after dot onto the canvas. ✨

Every piece begins with a single dot, every dot tells a story.

Gotta love the community you find through being a vendor. ❤️

Today I arrived at Honeymoon Bay and was surprised with the sweetest little gift from Sabrina. 🥹

A cup full of chocolates… and tiny signs that are basically an entire conversation between the two of us. 😂

“Artist, Helen, has arrived.”
“17 years! Congratulations!”
“One dot at a time.”
And my personal favourite: “Pie and ice cream are always appropriate for breakfast.” 😂

That last one is an ongoing discussion because, well… I happen to believe it’s true. 😉

It’s little moments like this that make doing markets about so much more than selling art. You meet wonderful people, make connections, share laughs, and sometimes end up with a cup full of chocolates and inside jokes.

Feeling very grateful for the people I’ve met along the way. 💛

Inside the Journey 🎨✨
The making of Embrace the Journey — Part 2

It starts with a sketch… and then the journey really begins. 🏔️

In this part, I’m building the main mountain one dot at a time. Layer by layer, colour by colour, the shape starts to come alive.

There’s something pretty magical about watching a painting take form this way. What begins as a few simple lines slowly becomes part of the story.

And there are still so many dots to come… 💜💙💚

Every piece begins with a single dot, every dot tells a story.

Every piece begins with a single dot.

I’m taking you along for the journey of creating this piece—from the first sketch to the layers of dots that slowly bring the landscape to life.

This is Part 1, where I begin building the mountain outlines, one dot at a time. There’s something about watching that first stage come together that I never get tired of.

The painting is finished now, but I wanted to take you back to where it began. ✨

One dot at a time.
