[Repost] Today last year, we gathered in Montreal for Bangsokol: A Requiem for Cambodia, a moment that remains deeply present in our hearts.
On the evening of May 24, 2025 at Place des Arts, Bangsokol took the stage and something rare happened, Cambodian community and many diverse audiences from all over the places who care about peace, healing, love, and human connection stepped into a theatre like this for the first time. We came together not just to watch, but to feel, to remember, to heal and to be together.
Bangskol who created by two Cambodian figures, Panh and Sophy, the masterpiece of arts is not simply a performance. It is a space of memory, a gesture of mourning, healing and a quiet act of resilience.
βWhat stays with me most is not only the artistic power, but the collective experience, a shared silence, a shared breath, a shared acknowledgement of history and of what continues beyond it.
One year later, I find myself reflecting on what that night meant.β_Phloeun Prim
In a world that often feels fractured and uncertain, moments like this remind us why the arts matter.
Grateful to everyone who made that moment possible including the artists, the partners, and the community who showed up with such presence.
