Saturday of the long weekend, top floor on Crescent, and DJ EXO has the decks till 3.

Swipe through. That's the crowd: dressed up, phones down, singing every word at full volume. He opens with the Bollywood you grew up on, pulls in Arabic once the floor fills, and closes on house when nobody's ready to go home.

MONTRÉAL. 🖤

We said class was in session and you showed up like the syllabus was personal.

Blazers and plaid and ties pulled loose on a glass terrace over Saint-Laurent. Bollywood dropping into Afro, Latin and house until nobody on that floor was keeping track of which one they were dancing to. Sparklers cutting through the dark. Hands up for four straight hours. A room full of strangers at eleven who weren’t strangers by three.

Some nights you have to sell. This one sold itself — Early Birds gone, the room full, and a city that came out to send summer off properly.

Watch it back. If you were there, you already know which second is yours. If you weren’t, this is the part where you start paying attention.

DJ EXO is back in Montréal, and this time he's bringing Beirut with him.

If you caught him at the Boat Party or Time Machine, you know how his sets go. Saturday night on the top floor of Crescent Street, he starts with the Bollywood songs you know every word to, slides into Arabic once the room warms up, and ends somewhere deep in house when nobody wants to go home. Candlelit, leather and marble, and a long weekend, so Sunday is for sleeping in.

Picture the top floor of Rue Crescent on a Saturday night. The candles are lit, the booths are filling up, and the first Bollywood chorus of the night slides over an Arabic rhythm you didn't know it needed. The bass comes in, the room leans forward, and someone next to you shouts the only word that matters: yalla.

This is Yalla Bollywood, and it's the night Toronto's makes his Montréal debut. DJ EXO has built his name turning Bollywood into Indo-house, EDM and something entirely his own. On October 10 he brings all of it to Karina's Club Lounge. Expect a curated bar, bottle service, private VIP booths, and a dance floor that won't quit until three.

Wear the satin. Wear the gold. Wear the black-on-black that makes you walk a little slower on your way in. Arabian night meets Bollywood premiere, and everyone's invited to look the part.

Last September's School Dress Edition. Ties loose by midnight, plaid skirts on the bar, a whole room that showed up in uniform and forgot how to behave. This is the only exam nobody studies for.

Now it's Montréal's turn.

Friday, September 18. Terrasse Camélia — the glass terrace over Saint-Laurent, covered, heated, and open for exactly one more Friday before the city puts it away for winter. A headliner flying in from Toronto takes the booth at eleven. Bollywood dropping into Afro, Latin and house until three. Bottles arriving with sparklers. Booths for the ones who'd rather watch the floor lose it from the good seats.

Here's where we're at: Early Birds are gone. What's left is General Admission, and this terrace does not stretch. When it's full, it's full — and the people outside will be watching this on someone else's story Saturday morning.

That's the part where you find out what the city already decided — that Friday, September 18 is the night everyone's clearing their calendar for. Terrasse Camelia, the glass terrace over Saint-Laurent, covered and heated and glowing above the Main. Bollywood pulled through Afro, Latin and house until nobody's keeping track of which one they're dancing to. A headline DJ flying in from Toronto taking the booth at eleven and holding it till three.

Cocktails moving through the crowd, bottles arriving with sparklers, booths for the ones who'd rather watch the room lose it from the good seats.

This is the last night that belongs to summer. After this it's terraces closing, semesters starting, and a very long wait until the city feels like this again.
