I'm a surreal wildlife painter working out of my studio in the heart of the Mile-End district of Montreal. In my paintings, animals act in unexpected ways and draw attention to a scene unfolding in a recognizable, yet secret environment. We are invited to witness intimate moments – moments of tension, serenity and belonging; to experience a surreal glimpse into worlds too hidden and intimate to co

me across in everyday life. I have been navigating the art world for the past 15 years as a commercial artist, designer, art educator, muralist, and as an art director. All the while, I have kept a painting practice, exhibiting in galleries and collaborating with other artists from around the world.

I'm thrilled to announce that I have a solo show coming up at the end of the month at Nanny Goat Gallery in California. Here's a little something about the show:

Secret Gardens

I often wonder what takes place in a forest, a swamp, or a field before I enter it. What stories were just unfolding? What kind of animals were hidden, and what were they doing before I broke the silence? Did I disturb a ritual, interfere with a hunt, or interrupt a moment of curiosity? These are scenes seldom revealed, a place where my imagination thrives.

Secret Gardens is a curated collection of 12 paintings, both old and new, that imagines hidden and mysterious moments in nature. It is a portal into the secret lives of wildlife, offering us a glimpse into magical scenes that would be otherwise be concealed from us. These can be playful moments, moments of wonder, curiosity, or even fear.

The paintings exist in a place where realism meets the surreal. It is a collection of works that showcases flora and fauna in a way that is enchanted, mysterious and colourful - a nature that is represented in a wide range of palettes and moods.

The show runs from July 31st to August 24th.

A limited edition print of the painting "Reverence" is now available in my shop:

The print is 18" x 24" and includes a white border. It is printed on 300 lbs Entrada archival, acid-free paper. Each print is signed and numbered.

The original painting "Reverence" is an 18" x 24" acrylic painting on panel. In it, a Cooper’s Hawk sits perched high up in a pine tree. Three Polyphemus moths circle around it, seemingly in awe. This painting is about transformation and rebirth.

I've decided to do a small edition of 10.
