HOW WE GOT HERE
The Sunday Sunday Improv Show was conceived and created by Andy Assaf, Dimitri Kyres, and Jason Grimmer in 2018 - also co-creators of Precinct and Films in Focus. Originally at The Wiggle Room, then The Diving Bell, then - continuing southward down Montreal’s famed St. Laurent Boulevard - to it’s new regular home at the Montreal Improv.
Now that Andy is at Second City in Toronto, Jason and Dimitri both produce and run the show and they invite a revolving cast of expert and upcoming improvisors to either be in the earlier LIFEBOAT part of the show or the popular narrative improv part of the show where we take our cues from start of bad film or a unpopular novel and finish it the way we think it should be finished - onstage and with the sweat and tears of the performers, trying their best to satisfy the audience. You’ll be crying too: from laughter!
