Ethiopian beauty. A young girl from the Dorze tribe poses proudly in front of her home.

The Dorze homes- 'elephant homes'-are constructed from mud and false banana leaves. They feature an elongated entrance and a round shape, hence their name. Every 10-15 years the homes must be reconstructed to offset the damage caused by termites. The Dorze live in the mountainous region of southern Ethiopia near Arba Minch. They are farmers and weavers.

Yesterday IQ celebrated its one year anniversary. One year since the incredible launch of Rope+Thread=ism. On this occasion we'd like to thank our friends, fans and contributors for their incredible contribution and support. We never could have realized that dream without you.

We'd also like to mark this anniversary with some news of things to come. First, we're pleased to introduce 'IQ Space', an initiative that creates beautiful art apartments available for short term rental. Come live in the experience of IQ. (Message us for more information).

Also, we're off to far off lands in pursuit of creative initiatives and inspirations. Stay tuned for more exciting projects to come.
