Art is what I do. My father taught me to draw when I was seven years old, certainly not knowing he was giving me a hobby, a career, and a purpose. I still remember the way he drew his lines, just using a regular pencil: not in one line or in one swoop, but in a number of shorter lines. Not haltingly or unsure, but using many to make the whole.

In grade school I used to draw portraits of school mates. I was no Michelangelo, but I did okay and I had lots of takers. :)

Drawing is harder for me now. I have hands that suffer from arthritis and tendonitis, and due to chronic illnesses and chronic pain I have tremors and I shake, so using traditional media hasn't worked for me these days, though I would love to try again, maybe doing abstracts. Instead, digital art and making art on the computer is the way I roll. We do what we can and what we need to in order to make our career fit us, and to fit our career.
