This past Wednesday we had the honour of presenting Red Road to Palestine, a film program featuring a selection of Indigenous and Palestinian short films dealing with the big and small ways that Indigenous peoples continue to fight for and maintain vital connections to their land despite occupation.

We created this program for two reasons: to highlight the important work of and their ongoing solidarity work across Turtle Island and with the Palestinian struggle for liberation, and to fundraise for the land defenders of Turtle Island so that they can continue to resist the violence of colonization.

We would like warmly thank all of our filmmakers, especially ’s Franklin Lopez and Clifton Ariwakehte Nicholas for both sharing their work, including a new working cut of their documentary Red Road to Palestine, as well as being part of a post-screening discussion looking at filmmaking as movement-building at a time when state violence is accelerating and the image is being weaponized by the ruling class. The discussion was moderated by filmmaker Razan Al Salah ().

And finally, we’d like to give a huge thank you to our brilliant co-organizers Mick (), Fallon (), Yarro () and Sima () without whom this event would not have been possible.

To support Frank and Clifton’s continued work on Red Road to Palestine, you can donate here: paypal.com/donate/?campaign_id=3Z7GSYA8XSNRE

[FR in comments] Please join us on Wednesday, January 21st at for a program of Indigenous and Palestinian films followed by a conversation with filmmakers Clifton Ariwakehte Nicholas, Franklin López and Razan Al Salah.

These films remind us of the big and small ways that Indigenous peoples fight for and maintain vital connections to their land. Whether the demand be "Land Back" or "Right of Return," our struggles for liberation are aligned in how we relate to the land—as home, as family, as medicine, as the whole we are part of— and in defiance of colonial land theft and greenwashing.

We created this program to highlight the work of and their ongoing solidarity work across Turtle Island and with the Palestinian struggle for liberation.

A warm thank you to everyone who joined us Sunday afternoon for our screening of Mohammad Bakri’s deeply moving documentary “Jenin, Jenin” as part of Palestine Cinema Days Around the World, organiFilmlab Palestine | فيلم لاب فلسطينlestine.

It was an honour to be one of over 1000 film screenings taking place worldwide in solidarity with Palestine.

We’d especially like to thank Nayrouz Abu Hatoum for contextualizing the film within the history of Palestinian resistance, for graciously hosting us, and for introducing us to their electoral campaign.

Regards Palestiniens fully supports and applauds the newly formed student coalition for the creation of this important new pledge campaign to boycott The Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Fellowship in Contemporary Art award.

We strongly believe that organizing and pressuring universities, in this case and , into boycotting the Bronfman Fellowship - an award that works to fuel and extract from the ongoing illegal occupation and genocide of Gaza - is an important step in addressing institutional complicity.

This campaign is also a wonderful example of how we can effectively organize around boycotts - boycott here being the vehicle used in identifying after thorough research how Zionist money is feeding on and further entrenching injustice.

Bravo MFAs Against Genocide!

Bravo à MFAs Against Genocide !

Our hearts are so full: thank you to everyone who came out last night to take part in our outdoor protest action / screening of our new counter-program THE MISSING IMAGE IS: GAZA, featuring films and images from Gaza, spanning the last seven decades of Nakba in Palestine.

Curated in response to the 2025 , this program sought to restore meaning to the Biennale’s exhibition titled ‘In Praise of the Missing Image’—a phrase that was originally drawn from the context of the Cambodian genocide. For Momenta to invoke this title while disregarding the genocide being enacted today against Palestinians - both in its curatorial statement and through the exclusion of Palestinian artists - reproduces the very violence and erasure the curatorial vision claims to critique.

We want to give an especially warm thank you to Samuel and James of , who were the most gracious hosts and collaborators.

If you have any questions about last night’s action or programming, don’t hesitate to be in touch via DM.
