đŸ’…đŸ»Â Visual identity for a nail technician

Outside of design, I also do nails! It’s a passion of mine because I love working with my hands and having a creative outlet that doesn’t involve staring at a screen—especially since most of my work is done on a computer.

As a fun practice brief, I designed a playful and contemporary visual identity for , complete with a 3D logo, vibrant color palette, typography, and social media assets that reflect the fun, eclectic, and lighthearted nature of the nail designs.

1. Business Cards: Featuring a hand illustration that stamps all five fingers—perfect for encouraging repeat visits.

2. Instagram Carousel Templates: Designed with eye-catching 3D shapes, nail art graphics, and bold typography to keep the brand fun and engaging.

3. Policies & Pricing Instagram Stories: Easy-to-use templates that clearly present key details for customers.

4. Logo Design: A 3D adaptation of the original “Allison Eng Studio” logo, rebranded as “Allison Nail Studio” to highlight the parent-child relationship between the two brands.

“Motion”

Line art illustration in honour of my favorite girl, Stella.

Stella, my 5-year-old Italian Greyhound, has been with me since she was just 2 months old. I traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton on a road trip to bring her home, and now we share our life together in Montreal.

🟣 Celebrating the women who shaped design as we know it.

Did you know the women behind these iconic logos?

This , we’re spotlighting trailblazing women whose work has left a lasting mark in design history.

1. Carolyn Davidson – Designed Nike’s iconic Swoosh while still a student. Paid just $35 at the time, her work is now recognized worldwide.
2. Marina Willer – Created the ever-evolving Tate logo, reflecting the dynamic nature of contemporary art.
3. Susan Kare – The mastermind behind Apple’s first icons, making computers feel intuitive and friendly.
4. Paula Scher – The first female principal at Pentagram, she transformed branding with bold, type-driven identities for MoMA, Windows 8, Shake Shack, and more.
5. Coco Chanel – Designed the legendary double-C logo, a timeless symbol of luxury and elegance.

From branding, fashion, to digital interfaces, these women have shaped how we experience design every day.

Queens Affirming Youth and Family Alliance (QAYFA) – a brand identity built on affirmation.

QAYFA offers a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ youth and their families in Queens, New York. I translated this mission into a brand identity that feels welcoming, empowering, and youthful. Here’s what we did:

✅ A color palette of greens and blues, inspired by text message bubbles, symbolizes connection and dialogue, with chat bubble graphics reinforcing this idea.

✅ Two logos featuring a sans-serif and custom bubble-font type add a contemporary, playful, and youthful flair.

✅ The star icon, representing the six words in the program name, can integrate the rainbow flag to reflect its core audience.

The result? A brand that aligns with QAYFA’s empowering mission.

QAYFA is part of Vibrant Emotional Health , an organization with 50+ years of experience in emotional well-being, community wellness, and advocacy.

đŸŒŒÂ Meet Aidan, a studio-based floral artist redefining what’s possible with plants.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Aidan’s journey started with a simple act—gathering bits of plants from alleyways and gardens during lockdown. Over time, her curiosity turned into a calling, leading her to leave the tech world behind and build a floral design practice rooted in storytelling, atmosphere, and transformation.

Through Things From Gardens , she embraces imperfection, seasonality, and the fleeting nature of flowers—creating arrangements that feel both wild and intentional.

Swipe through to learn more about her journey, creative process, and advice for aspiring creatives.
