🗣️ PHYSICAL MEDIA DROP
FEARTILIZER 1492
× WAPE'K MNTU [EP]
[Death Metal, Grindcore]
⬇️Message from Samaël Lavoie ⬇️
Today is Truth and Reconciliation Day.
As First Nations people, we know how little reconciliation has actually been achieved.
The same systems still try to bury us, minimize us, portray us as people of the past, while denialism keeps growing: “you were conquered”, “there’s no proof”, and everything else used to question our truth.
To every young warrior who sees Feartilizer 1492 and thinks what we’re doing is out of reach: it isn’t. I’m a normal person. You can create, take back your voice and tell your own story too.
That truth is written all over our first EP.
In collaboration with Agony on Record, I’m proud to present the physical release of WAPE’K MNTU, an EP where I weaponized the narratives used to indoctrinate and shame us and turned them back against the systems that created them.
Remember the survivors, the ones who never came home, and everyone still carrying that intergenerational weight.
But remember this too:
We are still here.
We are not people of the past.
We will not be assimilated or minimized.
Practice your ways. Learn your language. Create. Speak up. Take up space.
Resist assimilation. Refuse erasure. Reject the systems that demand our silence, our obedience, or the abandonment of who we are. Our existence, our cultures, our languages and our refusal to disappear are acts of resistance.
WAPE’K MNTU available at our merch table at TO THE DEATH and our next shows.
