St Paul Lutheran Church in Plano was generous with their time and space to provide a space for our rehearsals for "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" when another location became unavailable.

CenterStage TheatreWorks wants to return their kindness by finding actors for their annual Journey to Christmas event, which they've put on for 40 (!) years. As their congregation has aged, too few of their members are able to participate in the event, and without additional volunteers, they would have had to cancel it.

The event is December 13 from 4-8. There is one rehearsal Dec. 11 and a costume fitting one of two days before that.

As acting gigs go, it's about a small a commitment as possible. One costume fitting, one rehearsal, and one performance. We're looking for people of any level of acting experience; if you've never acted before, this is a great opportunity to dip your toe in the water! It's quite a large event, and we need many actors to fill all the roles. There are some roles with only physical movement and pantomine (and a little improv) and others that require a little more (speaking or narration roles). Adults and teen actors are welcomed. There are also roles for adults with children (so families could participate as a unit).

If you can help us say "thank you" to this generous congregation, fill out the form and join us!

🐾 Meet Our Snoopys! 🎶
Maximum beagle energy. Zero apologies. 💙

Troy Murray (Snoopy)
CenterStage debut! Troy has performed across 13+ DFW theatres and is known for fearless comedy, lightning-fast improv, and pure joy onstage. This show has meant everything to him since infancy (consider this his Snoopy origin story).

Q. What is something small that always makes your day better?
A. My name tag from my appearance on “Wheel of Fortune”! I work as a Host at The Game Show Experience, and I’ve made it an integral part of my uniform. Anytime I see it in the mirror, I’m reminded that I’m truly living my best life!

Q. If Snoopy had TikTok, what kind of content would he be creating?
A. He would do “gut check” style videos! He would try every variation of a particular food, and then create a tier list ranking all of them in order from “Supper Worthy” to “Sup With This One?”
Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?

A. There’s only one guy I can possibly think of really, AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA! 👌 I couldn’t be sadder about the fact that he is retiring from wrestling this year. He’s been a role model of mine for as long as I’ve been watching Charlie Brown.

Reagan Wren (Snoopy Swing / Dance Captain)
Reagan returns to CenterStage with maximum sparkle + controlled beagle chaos. You may have seen her in Elf, Medusa, Cry Havoc, or My Little Schmoopsie. She keeps the vibe playful, the movement sharp, and the cast laughing at all times.

Q. What is something small that always makes your day better?
A. Getting to read books!

Q. If Snoopy had TikTok, what kind of content would he be creating?
A. TikTok dances or dramatic readings of poetry

Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?
A. Taylor Swift!!

🎹 Meet Our Schroeders!
Two musicians of heart, humor, and serious piano energy.

💜 Nick Merritt (Schroeder)
Nick is thrilled to bring our resident Beethoven superfan to life! You may have seen him as Horton (Seussical), the Mad Hatter (Alice By Heart), Chip (Putnam County Spelling Bee), or Nick Bottom (Something Rotten). When he’s not on stage, he’s lifting weights, reading, or playing D&D — truly a Renaissance man of vibes.

Q. What is something that made you feel like a kid again during rehearsals?
A. Getting to make a bunch of new friends! It was like the first day of kindergarten.

Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?
A. He’s a crooner named Dennis Van Aarsen, super underrated singer. He’s very popular in Europe right now.

Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. A good comic book (Alex has been lending me comic books throughout the rehearsal process)

💜 Jared Duncan (Schroeder Swing & Music Director)
Jared steps in as Schroeder when needed and leads our cast vocally with care, clarity, and collaboration. With a strong background in vocal performance and ensemble leadership across DFW, he’s dedicated to musical storytelling that feels honest and expressive. So yes — he’s our Beethoven and our conductor of chaos (the fun kind).

Q. If Snoopy had TikTok, what kind of content would he be creating?
A. As a storyteller, exaggerating every detail and going a bit too far for likes and clicks.

Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. Video games!

Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?
A. Coldplay

🎀 Meet Our Sallys 🎀
Double the charm, double the sass, and double the “Good Grief!” in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Do you have your tickets yet?? We open in TWO DAYS!

✨ Elyse Allen (Sally)
Elyse is thrilled to return to CenterStage! Elyse received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Utah Valley University. You may have seen her as Beth (Little Women), Shelby (Steel Magnolias), or Allyson (A Grand Night for Singing).

Q: What made you feel like a kid again during rehearsals?
A: I LOVE getting to do character improv during rehearsal and getting to play as a kid with all the other “little kids” has been so fun!!

Q: If the Peanuts gang had a reality show, what would it be called?
A: A dating show a la The Bachelorette called “Nuts About You”

Q: What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A: Ice cream and chocolate may not fix everything but it can improve anything. 🍦🍫

💫 Andie Pace (Sally Swing)
Andie began her theatre journey 8 years ago and is back for her first musical in nearly five! Favorite roles include Anita (Wrong Turn at Lungfish), Miss Honey (Matilda), and Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins Jr.). When she’s not on stage, she’s behind the camera or writing poetry. See Andie in her performance as Sally on 11/9.

Q: What made you feel like a kid again during rehearsals?
A: Doing the bunny choreography with our two Snoopys really made me feel like a kid again. There’s something about giggling, skipping around, and dancing in a big circle with your friends that ignites childlike wonder. 👯‍♀️

Q: What’s your most recent “Good Grief” moment?
A: I forgot that if you withdraw money from an ATM that isn’t your bank, it charges you (A lot). Needless to say, Sally won’t be buying many fudge marble sugar cones soon… 💸🍦

Q: What’s your current personal philosophy?
A: I think all of my friends would agree that my current philosophy is, “…and that’s what I’ve always said.” That way everyone knows I’m ahead of my time. 😄

🎶 Meet Our Linuses! 🎶
(Yes, two blanket philosophers for the price of one!)

💫 Hazel Lindsey (Linus)
Hazel’s thrilled to make their CenterStage debut! You might’ve seen them in Curtains or My Favorite Year at Allen Contemporary Theatre. When they're not on stage, they are roller skating, tap dancing, or diving deep into psychology research.

Q. Which Peanuts character do you actually think you’d be in real life?
A. I think I relate a lot to Linus. I’m a research fanatic, and I love collecting fun facts. I just love how much he cares about his friends, which I try to do in real life.

Q. Sally sings about her “New Philosophy.” What’s your current personal philosophy?
A. Sadly not funny, but my personal philosophy is something is better than nothing.

Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. Doing research. I’m writing a research paper right now and being able to dive head first into something I don’t know about is always really fun.

💫 Brian Sullivan (Linus Swing)
Brian’s a software engineer by day and stage star by night! He’s appeared as Nathan Detroit (Guys and Dolls), Horton (Seussical), and Edmund (The Shakespeare Conspiracy). Offstage, he’s a dad of four, animation lover, and Magic: The Gathering fan. Come see Brian as Linus 11/16 at the matinee!

Q. Which Peanuts character do you actually think you’d be in real life?
A. I think Linus is actually pretty spot-on for me. Quiet and a little bookish, but very kind.

Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. Doing something that makes me feel smart, like watching an episode of Jeopardy! or finishing a crossword puzzle.

Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?
A. Tim Minchin! Matilda and Groundhog Day are two of my favorite musical theater soundtracks, and his songs run the emotional range from heart-wrenching to laugh-out-loud funny.
