🎶 Meet Our Linuses! 🎶
(Yes, two blanket philosophers for the price of one!)
💫 Hazel Lindsey (Linus)
Hazel’s thrilled to make their CenterStage debut! You might’ve seen them in Curtains or My Favorite Year at Allen Contemporary Theatre. When they're not on stage, they are roller skating, tap dancing, or diving deep into psychology research.
Q. Which Peanuts character do you actually think you’d be in real life?
A. I think I relate a lot to Linus. I’m a research fanatic, and I love collecting fun facts. I just love how much he cares about his friends, which I try to do in real life.
Q. Sally sings about her “New Philosophy.” What’s your current personal philosophy?
A. Sadly not funny, but my personal philosophy is something is better than nothing.
Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. Doing research. I’m writing a research paper right now and being able to dive head first into something I don’t know about is always really fun.
💫 Brian Sullivan (Linus Swing)
Brian’s a software engineer by day and stage star by night! He’s appeared as Nathan Detroit (Guys and Dolls), Horton (Seussical), and Edmund (The Shakespeare Conspiracy). Offstage, he’s a dad of four, animation lover, and Magic: The Gathering fan. Come see Brian as Linus 11/16 at the matinee!
Q. Which Peanuts character do you actually think you’d be in real life?
A. I think Linus is actually pretty spot-on for me. Quiet and a little bookish, but very kind.
Q. What’s something small that always makes your day better?
A. Doing something that makes me feel smart, like watching an episode of Jeopardy! or finishing a crossword puzzle.
Q. Schroeder lives for Beethoven. Who’s your modern-day Beethoven?
A. Tim Minchin! Matilda and Groundhog Day are two of my favorite musical theater soundtracks, and his songs run the emotional range from heart-wrenching to laugh-out-loud funny.
