[NEWS] 🚀 More than 30 members receive funding for their research

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec support several research-creation projects involving members of the Hexagram Network.

This outstanding result reflects the quality, relevance, and impact of the research being conducted within the strategic research cluster.

[ACTIVITÉ] 🎧🌿 Ce vendredi, prenez un moment pour ralentir et tendre l’oreille aux sons qui vous entourent.

Sur les rives de Verdun, la cochercheuse Natalie Doonan vous invite à une expérience d’écoute environnementale inspirée de Worldwide Tuning, la méditation sonore de Pauline Oliveros. Guidé·e·s à travers différents exercices d’attention et de perception, les participant·e·s seront amené·e·s à se mettre en résonance avec le paysage sonore du lieu.

[OUR MEMBERS] 🏆 Congratulations to Gabrielle Turbide, recipient of the 4th New Horizons Award from the Fondation Grantham. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Visual and Media Arts at UQAM.

💭 We remember: In DEMO65, Gabrielle presents her research on creating microalgae-based ecosystems and devices, intersecting with art, biology, and technology.

[NEWS] 🎯 Co-investigator Martin Beauregard leds the Chaire institutionnelle de recherche-création en art environnemental, écoconception et fabrication numérique.

In a context of ecological transition, transforming industrial residues into potential resources has become a major challenge for both the scientific community and economic sectors.

The UQAT | Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue is embracing this momentum by announcing the creation of this new institutional chair in research-creation.

[CALL] Hexagram Network’s Chantier XR/Games invites anyone who is currently leading—or has previously taken part in—a research-creation project to submit a statement of intent for the proposal of a special issue at journal Captures.

Captures. Figures, théories et pratiques de l'imaginaire is a French-language peer-reviewed academic journal that also publishes articles in English. Although the call itself is not available in English, proposals in English are welcome.
