✨ Cosmic Alignments & Celebrations: A Powerful Time for Renewal

March 29, 2025, marked a significant astrological alignment. From a Vedic perspective: setting the stage for transformation, new beginnings, and deep spiritual energy.

On this day, Saturn (Shani) moved into Pisces (Meena Rashi), bringing a shift in karmic cycles, discipline, and spiritual responsibility. Saturn in Pisces encourages deep introspection, dissolving past limitations, and embracing a more intuitive and wisdom-driven approach to life.

Additionally, a powerful planetary alignment occurs, with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus converging in Pisces, enhancing creativity, intuition, and emotional clarity. While this alignment is a gateway for spiritual growth, it may also bring emotional sensitivity, miscommunication, and impulsive decisions. With Saturn in Pisces, discipline may waver stay grounded, think clearly, and avoid rash choices.

Then, as we step into March 30, 2025, three deeply auspicious events unfold:

🌸 Hindu New Year, Chaitra Navaratri & Bengali Basanti Puja Begin
The Hindu New Year (Vikram Samvat 2082) ushers in a new cycle of prosperity, renewal, and dharmic growth. The same day marks the beginning of Chaitra Navaratri, a sacred nine-day festival honoring Devi (Shakti) in her nine divine forms. It is a time of devotion, transformation, and invoking inner power.

For Bengalis like myself, this period is also special as it coincides with Basanti Puja, the springtime Durga Puja dedicated to Maa Durga, celebrated with deep reverence and devotion. A time to invoke Shakti, strength, and divine blessings, Basanti Puja reflects the eternal power of the Goddess and the renewal of cosmic balance. It is also a time for me to honor my mother as her name was Basanti, and she taught me so much of these sacred arts.

🌙 Eid ul-Fitr: A Celebration of Gratitude & Renewal
As the sacred month of Ramadan comes to a close, Eid ul-Fitr brings a time of joy, gratitude, and community. Celebrating spiritual discipline, self-purification, and generosity, reminding us of the beauty of faith, compassion, and unity. It is a time of sharing blessings and embracing the spirit of giving.

✨ May this powerful celestial transition bring prosperity, wisdom, and harmony to all. Wishing a blessed Hindu New Year, Chaitra Navaratri & Basanti Puja and Eid Mubarak to all observing/celebrating these sacred occasions! May these moments be filled with divine grace, joy, and abundance. ✨

When I was 9, I went to a new school where the teacher was toxic. I was one of the very few bipoc kids in the class....school even. It was hard. The first day of school the year after, I cried to baba to please don't make me go. Baba made a deal. If I did not enjoy my first day, we may change schools. I went thinking just let me get through this day. As usual the teacher asked us to find a partner and line up in pairs. I stood there expecting to be alone (as previous years)...when a new pretty blonde haired bright blue eyed girl with bangs and freckles simply walked up to me and took my hand.
40 yrs later, she still hasn't let go. 🥹
Needless to say, I stayed in the same school and demanded to be put in the same high school as her. Despite having moved and us being in different cities and walks of life...she and I would always keep this beautiful friendship alive.
So excited to have seen my bestie during the holiday season. In gratitude for you Karitsa Tye 💜✨️🙏🏾💃🏾💃🏼
