Lesson 1 for grade 11: Postive & Negative Space with Zentangles.
It was my first lesson with them. Blowing water paints to create interesting lines that can create some spaces was fun! Then, the spaces are filled with different zentangles patterns.
The whole paper is divided into a positive and negative space of a silhouette of a shape they choose. Thinking about those spaces and trying to make different compositions were something I wanted them to challenge.
Overall, I think it was a good start to be their teacher ( though im only a 3 months available student teacher ๐คฃ), I got to see their abilities, styles, creativities, and potential! Well done, guys ๐
