Little late to the party but I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in FEST FORWARD ! It was such an incredible experience and I shared the stage with some crazy talented groups. I’ll never shut up about how much talent there is in our province. If you haven’t had the pleasure of checking out the other groups involved in Fest Forward you definitely should.
Also a big thank you to Oscar for doing everything and to Abby, Zach, Paul, and Erin for sharing their knowledge with us and to leah-marie titus ✧˖° for the sick pictures. And to Charlotte Street Arts Centre for hosting the event… I think that’s everyone. Now go follow these bands:

Fest Forward 2026 Artist Highlight:

⋅☆⋅⋆ Justine Richardson ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆

Justine Richardson is an emerging artist from Deer Island, New Brunswick, whose soulful, roots-rock-inspired music explores themes of personal and social justice, self-discovery, and resilience. Her powerful voice and honest songwriting have quickly established her as a rising presence in the New Brunswick music scene.

Following the release of her debut single, Independence, in 2023, Justine released Better Run in August 2025 and is currently recording her debut album with East and Nowhere producer Colin Fowlie.

In 2025, Justine was selected for the Jane Leblanc Legacy Mentorship Program and will continue her development through the program's Artist Development Program in 2026. Through her music, she hopes to uplift others and spark meaningful conversations around inclusion, resilience, and social justice.

You can catch the Justine Richardson at the Fest Forward Showcase Saturday, October 17 in the Jim Myles Auditorium!

I’m playing at The Herring Pub from 4:30-7:30 today! Also today happens to be Bandcamp Friday which means 100% of the money spent on Bandcamp goes directly to the artist! One of the highlights of Trail Fest 26 is the incredible live, local music you’ll discover as you make your way along the Saint Andrews Van Horne Trail!

From 12:00–3:00 PM, talented local musicians will be set up at various locations along the trail, creating the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon outdoors.
