Thinking about our 150 specials. Did you know in canning and preserves we have a participant special. Enter and win any prize in any section and you will be elegible for the participant draw - 1st prize is $60; 2nd - $50 & 3rd $40. Be sure though that your entry will pass our pressure test, which is mandated by the OAAS.

Fair week is almost here! I remember when Fair week was the best week of the year!

Sure there was plenty of work getting the animals ready, finding your “whites “.
Remembering to keep your cow from crossing her hind legs while keeping one eye on the judge and the other on your animal.

The friendships, the camaraderie, made every trip to the wash rack and every hoof that stepped on your foot worth it.

Nothing can replace that experience. The competition, teamwork, hard work and laughter made it all unforgettable.

Those weren’t just days at the fair. They were memories and life lessons that have stayed with us forever.

Be sure to attend the Manitowaning Fall Fair on Sept 11 and 12. Better still, join in the parade! We'd love to have you!

The donations are coming in for the silent auction.
Many thanks to Manitowaning Mill, (Home Hardware), Frances Tehkummah, and Jackie White. Come to the fair to see what they are and visit the silent auction.

(Not all people that donate may get mentioned here because some may come in near the last day, which is fine too.)

Just 17 days left before the Manitowaning Fall Fair.
If you wish to contribute baking or fresh vegetables to the bake sale, please bring in your items on Friday morning or early Friday evening.
IF you wish to donate to the silent auction or make a donation to the fair, please see a director or bring it to the fair/arena on Friday morning.
All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Exhibits can be brought to arena on Thurs evening Sept. 10 or Friday morning, Sept. 11, as indicated in the fair prize book.
Livestock. poultry and horses come in Saturday Sept. 12 before noon.

Reminder : Manitowaning Agricultural Society meeting tonight at Public library at 6:30 p.m.
We need volunteer help for the fair on Sept. 11 and 12 and set up on Sept . 9 and 10. Please let us know if you are available to help .

Congratulations to Silva Verboom as Providence Bay fair ambassador and all of the contestants for participating.
Also hoping the rain stays away for the weekend at Providence Bay fair. There is always a lot of work that goes into a fair.
