“Not Dark Yet” by Bob Dylan, but then by me…

One of the most peaceful places on earth. It’s currently frozen and in its quietest form. Ice fishing and snowmobiles instead of canoes and fish jumping. Miss the sloshing sound of water on the shore in the middle of nowhere.

Commissioned painting! Posted with permission.

So tired of winter, f**k ice - here’s something peaceful for you.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on some less instagram-able projects (portraits!) but in December I had the chance to work on this commissioned painting for someone who wanted to commemorate this place and moment.

Speaking with them, they wanted the picture represented closely - they were pretty happy it!

Painting is acrylic on wood panel - 32”x16” - send me a message if you want your own memory/place painted.

“Hours Last Stand” - 16” x 16” Acrylic on wood panel.

Winter is too long, but some of these January sunsets and sunrises are to die for. This one, again, is inspired by the drive to Costco along Dingman Drive - which is sometimes the only beautiful nature exposure I have in the weekly grind. Looks peaceful, but I was about to engage in a battle of shopping carts. Gotta grab whatever moments we can in winter.

Available as a print too- see on my website (link in bio).
