ANNOUNCING: The 2026/27 Theatre Aezir Season! 🎭

We are so excited to share what we’ve been working on. This year, we’re diving deep into history and the profound impact of scientific discovery.

Our season features the powerful play Bluebirds by Vern Thiessen, held at the historic Royal Canadian Regiment Museum, and a dedicated series titled The Atomic Plays, featuring three staged readings and a full production of The Children.

Mark your calendars and get ready for a season where science meets the stage.

Now Announcing: Bluebirds – A Journey to the Front Lines
This November, Theatre Aezir invites you to the RCR Museum for a poignant exploration of courage and connection during the Great War.
Set in Etaples, France, 1918, Bluebirds follows three Canadian nurses—Christy, Maggie, and Bab—who have crossed oceans to care for the wounded. While the world around them is being torn apart by conflict, these women find something unexpected: friendship, independence, and power.
Meet the Bluebirds:
Maggie: Worries about the future she left behind with a close friend back home.
Christy: A soldier’s wife caught between the life she is "supposed" to lead and the one she truly wants.
Bab: Longs for the people and things she cannot have—her grandpa, a child, and a love that isn't hers.
Through their duties and the letters they send home, witness how they maintain hope even as the dangers of the front draw closer to their hospital.

📅 Performance Details:
Dates: November 4 – 15, 2026
Location: RCR Museum – Common Room
Tickets available soon
Don't miss this beautiful production that honors the women who served in WW1.

About the Play:
