There is so much to say about the incredible weekend we had at OCL Studios ❤️
I (Alyssa) have had the privilege of working with Josh Rob Gwilliam on previous projects, and I’m so grateful to be working with him again in a completely new capacity. He is kind, enthusiastic, genuine, and puts his whole heart into everything he does.
This past weekend marked the first step in a project that has been years in the making. We spent a few days recording songs that mean so much to us and hearing them start to come to life in the studio. It was exciting, surreal, and honestly a little emotional.
At one point, Josh described us as a “band of misfits who found each other,” and we couldn’t think of a more accurate way to put it (although Nicholas J Straat still insists he collected us all 😂).
We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to create music together, for everyone helping bring this project to life, and for all of you who continue to support us along the way.
And of course, Josh Bourelle was with us too ❤️ His hat made the trip, and having that piece of him there felt right.
We’re excited to share more of this journey with you over the coming months!
